Lessons with Enion

Enion has been teaching violin, viola, and fiddle for over 20 years.  She has been an instructor for advanced students at fiddle camps around the country, including Mark O’Connor’s celebrated Strings Conference. She uses renowned pedagogues Mimi Zweig’s and Shirley Givens’ methods for her youngest students.

Enion is an internationally touring violinist, composer, and singer, and is widely recognized for her elegant playing and thoughtful teaching in styles ranging from gypsy jazz, bluegrass, and classical music and everything in between. She shares her knowledge gathered almost 4 decades spent playing and exploring music, and enjoys sharing her enthusiasm with students of all ages and all levels – from 3 year-olds just starting out on their journey with music to seasoned performers looking for help with improvisation, fiddle styles, jazz theory, technique, and comfort while playing. Enion has been mentor and teacher to the fiddlers of celebrated Colorado bands such as Elephant Revival (Bridget Law), Trout Steak Revival (Bevin Foley), Avenhart (Olivia Shaw), Banshee Tree (Nick Carter), The Cody Sisters (Jackson Earles) and also includes among her former students fiddle prodigy CJ Neary.

Enion offers in-person private lessons,  group workshops, and private lessons via SKYPE.

Lessons with David

David Tiller has been playing mandolin, guitar, and singing for 39 years. He spent several years as the mandolin instructor at the College of Santa Fe, and now teaches in his hometown of Lyons, CO, as well as in nearby Boulder. David tours internationally, but is available for lessons at home or on the road, as he teaches in a private studio and via SKYPE.

David enjoys teaching students of all ages – the young folks can begin exploring fretted stringed instruments, and it’s never to late to learn to play – but his depth of knowledge about jazz, new acoustic, bluegrass, old-time, classical, and Celtic music is a boon for highly developed musicians. David has been a keen observer of the technique of the world’s most celebrated mandolinists, and guitarists and has developed methods for teaching the most comfortable, efficient way of playing possible.
